Daddy and I promise to....

We promise to tell you I love you everyday

We promise to be consistent in love and discipline

We promise to follow you the first time you step foot on a school bus

We promise to go on a special vacation every year we can

We promise to smother you in hugs after you have been in trouble

We promise to teach you how to shave and not cut yourself

We promise to make you feel like you can tell us anything

We promise to pray with you every night and teach you fun Bible stories

We promise to teach you the TRUE meanings of holidays

We promise to keep our home a safe haven-somewhere you will always feel comfortable

We promise to stand up for you and teach you how to stand up for yourself (respectfully)

We promise to teach you how the world come into existance

We promise to show you how much God loves you and died for our sins

We promise to show you how much we love each other so that you never have to worry about us not being a family

We promise to talk about awkward things, so that they are never awkward

We promise to make your birthday the most special time of the year and spoil you for that day

We promise to not spoil you the rest of the days, even though we want to

We promise to teach you how to save your money and work for it

We promise to embarass you and I promise one day you will laugh with us (and at us) and we won't care

We promise to teach you that you are a woman/man that can do anything

We promise to tell you that you are beautiful/handsome, because you are

We promise to go to your recitals or baseball games and cry because we are so proud

We promise to make you save money for your first car

We promise to not tell you what political party we support until you have made up your own mind (or will try)

We promise to let you live in pig sty of a room as long as you are not lazy in the other areas of your life

We promise to make you play outside and not be a couch potato

We promise to not laugh at you when you tell us you want to be an actress/actor

We promise to take a million pictures and hours of video

We promise to take you to Disney World as long as you want to go

We promise to make Christmas the most special time of the year, including fresh baked christmas cookies (we may have to go to Grandma's for this!)

We promise to make sure you know how smart you are and what your special talents are

We promise to laugh out loud with you so that you know how funny you are and how happy you make us

We promise to eat dinner as a family MOST of the time, even if we didn't cook it

We promise to support your first love even if we are not sure he/she is right for you

We promise to never give up on you

We promise to call you all the time when you don't live at home anymore

We promise to love you as much as our Mom and Dad loved us and to make sure you can feel it as much as we did
